Therapy

Talk therapy, also known as counseling, is a collaborative treatment method where we will explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to promote healing and personal growth. The process often involves discussing issues, challenges, and patterns that may contribute to mental health concerns. It’s an open, safe space for individuals to process their feelings, gain insight into their experiences, and develop coping strategies for managing life’s difficulties.

  • Reach out

    It all begins with an inquiry about treatment! This is the first step to the treatment process. We can connect via email and if wanting to continue, we can schedule a brief consultation.

    If one or both of us decide it’s not a good fit, that is okay! There are other resources available that may be more beneficial to your needs.

  • Participate in sessions

    Clients are encouraged to participate in sessions with honesty & willingness. Sessions typically start once a week to best support the therapeutic relationship & skill building. Sessions are 45 minutes where we will explore treatment goals & process thoughts & feelings. Attendance is important in making goals a priority for overall wellness.


    I incorporate a collaborative approach and it’s not limited to:
    -CBT
    -Mindfulness
    -DBT
    -Motivational Interviewing
    -Psychoeducation

  • Follow through with goals

    It all begins with a healthy action! Imagine yourself feeling that confidence this surfer is feeling after learning the tools on how to ride the waves, gain resilience & confidence, willing to try even when it may be tough at times… That can be YOU! Not necessarily on a surf board if you don’t want, but with achieving your desires and goals. Let’s make it count!

    Between sessions, clients can take steps toward their goals by practicing techniques discussed in therapy. This is strongly encouraged and can assist in the treatment process. Small (or big too!), consistent actions such as journaling, mindfulness, or reframing thoughts can help reinforce progress and create meaningful change.
