FAQs

Lindsey is an out of network provider in order to protect my client’s privacy and to maintain full control over our work together. You may be able to seek out of network reimbursement from your insurance companies for some or all of the fees.
Upon request, Lindsey will provide clients a superbill to submit for possible reimbursement. It is recommended for you to contact your insurance company to verify your benefits. Refunds will not be provided if your insurance does not reimburse you for services for any reason. The following questions are helpful when calling to ask your insurance company about coverage:
Does my policy include mental health coverage?
Does my policy include out of network benefits?
How much is my deductible and how much has been met?
What is the coinsurance percentage?
Is telehealth allowed for this policy?
-
You can email or call Lindsey to cancel your appointment. All appointments cancelled less than the 24 hour timeframe and no shows, will be charged a full session cancellation fee. Too many missed appointments may lead to discharge from treatment.

Lindsey uses a HIPPA compliant telehealth platform for sessions. Many find that virtual sessions are more convenient and offer a sense of familiarity due to being in their home.
Clients receive a link for the session via email. Due to licensing, clients must be located in the state of NJ or FL. Clients also must be in a confidential space to conduct sessions.

Therapy is unique to each person, tailored to individual experiences and challenges. Together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals and needs. Sessions typically occur weekly, though frequency can be adjusted based on your progress. Success in therapy comes from your active participation, honesty, and commitment to practicing techniques both in and outside of our sessions.

Nope! That is truly up to you as the client. Lindsey is a licensed counselor as well and experienced with utilizing talk therapy in sessions without use of art.
If there are any questions about this, feel free to ask!

Wellness workshops are not therapy/clinical groups. This means that these workshops are not reimbursable through insurance. Art workshops focus on creativity, self-expression, and personal growth in a supportive environment. They emphasize the process of making art for wellness or enjoyment.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is more than $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
